As a mother of four, dedicated wife, hard worker and loyal friend, who also had a high-pressure corporate career, I understand first-hand the challenges of balancing family responsibilities and work commitments.
Over the past two decades, I have worked in the finance sector, leading teams and servicing both retail and commercial customer needs. Leveraging my strong organisational skills and drive for efficiency I learnt to meticulously organise our family schedule to prioritize quality time with my children while also excelling in professional commitments.
However, I quickly realised when speaking with friends and colleagues that this does not come naturally to everyone.
Managing the ongoing list of tasks (calendar management, planning holidays, birthday parties, preparing kids for the school year, finding the best deals on insurance, phone, internet & banking, trades etc) can be overwhelming and have a negative impact on your wellbeing and quality time with those you love.
Recognising an opportunity to use my skills to ease the burden and give people more time for what truly matters to them, I launched Owncierge.
